Restorative Yoga for Sacred Recovery
Hosted by Fellowship Lutheran Church
Service Description
(Childcare available — see details below.) In a world that teaches us to perform for belonging, this series invites you into something different. Rest before achievement. Belonging before improvement. Grace before effort. Journey Through Flow: Restorative Yoga for Sacred Recovery is a restorative yoga and contemplative practice designed to help the body receive what the spirit already knows. That you are held. This is not about flexibility. It is not about fitness. It is not about striving. It is about resting deeply enough that your nervous system can soften… your breath can slow… and your body can remember safety. Each gathering weaves together: • Supported restorative postures • Gentle breath awareness • Reflections grounded in faith and embodied grace • Spacious stillness No experience is required. No performance is expected. You do not need to “do it right.” You simply arrive. Props & What to Bring Restorative props are provided if you do not have your own, including: • A bolster • Two blocks • A 10-foot strap • Yoga blankets (limited, first come first served) If you prefer to bring your own props, you are welcome to. All you need is: • A yoga mat • Or something comfortable to lie on (blankets or towels work beautifully) We will be fully supported on the ground. Comfort matters more than performance. A limited number of restorative prop bundles are occasionally available for those who wish to continue practicing at home. Series Details This is a capped monthly membership to preserve the intimacy and safety of the space. Registration is required. Membership is $40 per month and reserves your place in the ongoing Thursday series. The number of gatherings within a billing cycle may vary slightly depending on the calendar and church availability, but we will always meet when the space is available. Once this series starts we will use app booking to reserve childcare spots. Childcare spots are first-come, first-served based on availability. Together, we practice: • Releasing what we were never meant to carry • Letting grace meet us in stillness • Trusting that sacredness is already present in our bodies Hosted by Fellowship Lutheran Church.
