When the River Speaks Back

Journey Through Flow on News Channel 6

There are moments when you’re quietly doing the work. Teaching, listening, showing up, breathing through uncertainty and then suddenly the world pauses and says, “Hey… we see that.”

This was one of those moments.

Appearing on News Channel 6 wasn’t about fame or validation. It was about recognition not just of me, but of something much larger that’s been forming beneath the surface for years. A philosophy. A practice. A way of meeting life with both strength and softness.

For a brief window of time, the river spoke back.

What It Felt Like to Be Seen

I didn’t walk into the studio feeling like I had “made it.”

I walked in feeling grounded. Present. Grateful.

Because the truth is, Journey Through Flow wasn’t built overnight. It was shaped slowly through thousands of hours of teaching, moments of self-doubt, quiet mornings on the mat, and an unwavering belief that movement could be more than exercise. That it could be a way home.

Sitting there under the lights, speaking about this work, I wasn’t performing. I was sharing. Letting the story breathe. Letting the practice speak for itself.

Being seen didn’t feel loud.

It felt calm.

Like a deep exhale.

What I Learned From the Experience

I learned that people don’t connect to perfection.

They connect to sincerity.

They connect to someone who isn’t trying to sell enlightenment, but who is willing to stand in the middle of effort and ease and say, “This is where I practice too.”

I learned that this work matters

not because it’s trendy or impressive, but because people are tired. Overstimulated. Disconnected from their bodies and breath.

And I learned that when you speak from lived experience instead of rehearsed lines, the message lands exactly where it needs to.

What I Hope This Means for You

If you’re a student of Journey Through Flow; current, past, or future; this moment belongs to you too.

My hope is that this visibility creates permission:

• Permission to start where you are

• Permission to rest without guilt

• Permission to build strength without force

• Permission to explore stillness without needing to “earn” it

I hope it reminds you that yoga isn’t about contortion or perfection—it’s about relationship. With your breath. Your nervous system. Your life.

And I hope it invites you into a practice that meets you as a human first.

Behind the Scenes

These moments before the cameras rolled are my favorite. They remind me that every outward milestone is supported by quiet, unseen practice.

A Final Thought

This interview wasn’t a destination.

It was a reflection.

A signpost on the riverbank saying, “Keep going. You’re aligned.”

And if you’re reading this if you’ve found your way here maybe the river is speaking to you too.

Welcome to the flow.
